The second "Innovations in Nuclear Technology", jointly organized by "Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo - EPUSP" and "Centro Tecnológico da Marinha em São Paulo - CTMSP", aims to promote nuclear collaborations and to discuss issues concerning the challenges and opportunities for research institutes, universities and the nuclear industry in Brazil.

The workshop agenda includes topics such as licensing, nuclear safety issues, nuclear reactor technologies, thermohydraulic-neutronic coupling methods, and fuel cycle and waste management. Nuclear safety issues, new nuclear plant technologies, and waste management have been discussed, in the last two years, after the accident in Fukushima. Therefore, this special event is a forum for exchanging ideas, discussions and collaboration.

The workshop will be held on December 10-11th at Auditorio Mario Covas - Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (EPUSP), Brazil.

Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo - EPUSP) was founded in 1893 and today is one the main engineering schools in Brazil. It offers undergraduate and graduate courses in manifolds areas and is a relevant research center in many disciplines.

Centro Tecnológico da Marinha em São Paulo (CTMSP) is the Brazilian Navy research center for nuclear energy systems (fuel cycle and nuclear reactor technologies). CTMSP is located at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) campus.
